NO less than four 180s and 57 ton plus shots were thrown in just one Pinchbeck and District League Division One clash last week.
The classic contest was between high-flying duo Lincoln Arms A and Brennan’s Bar, with the latter edging to a 11-10 success.
Tim Halifax, Steve Stancer, Alan Harris and Matt Manning all peppered the treble 20 to notch maximums, but there was plenty more to admire.
The match of the night was between Neil Glover and Sam Roberts though, as both managed massive checkouts.
Lincoln’s Glover, who weighed in with a 130 finish, took the tie 2-1, but Roberts stole the show with a mammoth 150 checkout.
In the end it came down to Jack Chilvers against Mark Taylor, with the former getting the leg needed to seal overall glory.
Plenty more big scores were registered as Lamb and Flag C demolished Lincoln Arms C, too.
Gary Mace and Mark Waters both nailed 180s for Flag, who romped to a 19-2 triumph. Lincoln’s J Charlton also notched a maximum, but that was a rare highlight for the away side.
Down in Division B, Dave Norbury also managed a 180 as successful Ship C racked up another win.
His maximum came in a 17-dart final leg, with Ship sinking Drayman’s Arms A 14-7.
Meanwhile, Pinchbeck United FC and Five Bells are still going great guns in Division C.
Gary Coomes hit a 140 as Pinchbeck beat Duke of York by a narrow 11-10, while a big 3-0 triumph from Heinz Burton helped Five Bells beat Queen B.
