A NEW ten-week junior netball programme is set to start in Deeping next month.

England Netball and Lincolnshire Sports Partnership are delivering ‘High Five’ netball sessions at Deeping Leisure Centre for children aged nine-11 years.

The programme, which costs £25, will provide an introduction to ball skills, movement drills and game play to develop the children’s game. The long-term aim is to develop a junior club for the Bourne and Deepings area, catering for all ages and abilities.

Louise Key, England Netball Development Officer for Lincolnshire, said: “High Five is specifically for children aged nine to 11 years and is a great way for kids to get active and make new friends. High Five has gone from strength to strength in Lincolnshire.”

High Five is the recognised 5-a-side game for the under-11s. It gives every child the chance to experience every netball position, as well as the off the court roles.

It boosts fitness, confidence and adaptability and provides a great social framework for players to strengthen friendships.

The first session starts on Monday, March 5 at the Deeping Leisure Centre in Deeping St James (5pm–6pm).

For more information or a booking form email louise.key@englandnetball.co.uk or call Louise Key on 07545 924994.
