MEET the five girls who have made the shortlist for the 2012 Spalding Flower Parade queen.
The girls were picked from a total of 17 contestants after being interviewed on Thursday evening.
Domenique Fragale (17), of Cowbit, Amy Harrison (18), of Spalding, Vicky Orme (18), of Spalding, Lauren Rate (17), of Pinchbeck and Jessica Hallifax (17), from Holbeach St Johns won through after being interviewed by Lincolnshire Free Press editor Jeremy Ransome and Tulip Radio’s Jan Whitbourne.
They will now face a final selection process at Ayscoughfee Hall in Spalding this Friday evening.
The winner will be crowned the Spalding Flower Queen for 2012 and the four runners-up will travel with her on the lead float at the flower parade on Saturday, May 5.
The girls not lucky enough to make the final stage will be invited to ride on the “butterfly” float (see story on the right).
They are: Steph Morley, Pia-Antoinette Weston, Bexie Browne, Lucy Poole, Kerry Chadburn, Leanne Palmer, Kimberley Fisher, Kassie Wickham, Demi Powell, Carla Holmes, Chelsea Gardner and Nicole Brookfield.
