• The Spalding friendly team’s return match against Fenland Bowlers was held at Long Sutton – and it turned out to be an eventful afternoon.
During the course of the game it was discovered that the electronic scoring system had not been functioning properly, causing a loss of data on one rink.
The final score card tally revealed a very close contest, with Fenland edging out Spalding by one shot (104-103) for the second time this season.
Spalding had two rinks of equal score and the winning rink was assessed on countback. The rink winners were Audrey Maxwell, Gill Haydon, and skip Brian Collin. Match captain was Brian Stuckey.
