Spalding’s Silver Spoon Bowmen boast an unprecedented six county champions after putting in a sensational performance at the Princess Royal Sports Arena in Boston.
Star of the show was John Shinkin, who retained his county title in the Senior Gents Longbow with new personal bests and club records in the single and double event.
Also setting a personal best and a new club record for the double event in winning the Senior Ladies’ Compound was Emily Must.
Next came Ryan Mountney, who won the Senior Gents Compound – which followed on from his win in in the Junior Gent event last year.
Dan Smith came third in the same event.
Meanwhile, juniors Amy Gott and Abbie Spinks each won the Junior Lady Recurve and Compound events respectively.
Margaret Marsh, in her first year for the Bowmen, won the Senior Ladies’ Barebow title – setting a new club record for the double round in the process.
Elsewhere, club chairman Sam Newton continued his good return to competition with second in the Senior Gents Recurve, bagging a new club record for the double event.
Lynn Fisher and Ann Skelcher also finished second and third in the Senior Ladies Recurve, with the latter setting a new personal best in doing so.
