Runanway UCL Premier Division leaders Holbeach United are bidding to dodge a familiar banana skin this Saturday.
The Tigers visit sixth-placed Cogenhoe United (3pm), bidding to maintain their healthy 15-point advantage over the chasing pack.
John Chand’s side, who have won ten league games in a row, slipped up at Compton Park last year – and haven’t won at the venue for almost a decade.
Chand said: “It’s always a tough trip. If we can win there, it’s another hard game ticked off the list.
“The other teams will get their games in hand played over the coming weeks, so it’s important that we keep winning and don’t give them any encouragement.”
Matt Warfield sits out the final game of his three-match ban, but fellow midfielder Wes Lewis is likely to be more available for the remainder of the season – starting with Saturday.
Meanwhile, Chand has made a seven-day notice of approach for defender Liam Bull, who has dual registration with Spalding United and Lincoln United.
