Spalding United’s FA Vase tie at Sutton Town tonight (Wednesday) has been postponed, while Holbeach United’s Lincs FA Senior Shield quarter final with Bourne Town is also under threat.
The freezing conditions forced Sutton to make an early call on the third round clash, with the Tulips informed on Tuesday evening.
It’s the second time in five days that the clash has fallen foul of the weather, but they will try again this Saturday (3pm). Spalding’s scheduled game with Shepshed Dynamo will subsequently be moved to a later date.
Meanwhile, a pitch inspection will take place at Carter’s Park today (3pm) to determine the fate of Holbeach’s clash with rivals Bourne.
Freezing conditions in South Holland ensure that the last eight clash is highly unlikely to go ahead.
More on that when we have it.
