Chris Beale came off the bench to score four goals and spare Pinchbeck United Reserves’ blushes in an 8-3 PFA Challenge Cup win over ICA Sports Reserves on Saturday

His virtuoso showing spared Pinchbeck’s blushes, with the city side taking them to extra time despite fielding just ten men.
Matt Hempsall hammered United ahead on ten minutes, but the hosts needed a further strike from Jamie Cartlidge to go in at half-time 2-1 ahead.
Remarkably, ICA turned the game on its head with two goals early in the second half – and it took a last-gasp Beale stunner to force the additional period.
In extra time, Beale completed his hat-trick early on and ICA ran out of energy. He added a fourth to his tally and Jack Wycherley and Cartlidge gave the score line a much more flattering look.

• Tom Gosling netted a hat-trick as Moulton Harrox cruised to an 8-2 PFA Senior Cup success at Long Sutton Athletic on Saturday.
Joe Townsend (2), Martin Gordon, Billy King and Tom Panton scored to put Harrox 8-0 up, before two cracking headers from Jake Clitheroe in the final five minutes restored some pride for the Magpies – who felt the scoreline was very harsh on them.

• Sutton did enjoy success in the Spalding Inter-Services Trophy against Old Dons last Wednesday. Matty Cawthorn netted a treble, while Jake Clitheroe and a 35-yard Martin Ward strike completed the scoring.

Steven Robinson bagged a first-half winner as Long Sutton Athletic Reserves picked up a 1-0 win at King’s Cliffe’s second string in Division Three.
Tim Lowe had a decent chance early on, before Robinson pounced to net a rebound after Sam Cooper’s strike was saved. Sutton then survived shocking weather in the second half.

• Tydd St Mary made five-star progress in the Spalding Inter-Services Cup as they picked off hosts Holbeach Bank 5-2 on Saturday.

The Saints marched through with goals from Matt Eaton (2), Steve Cousins, Aaron Parker and Phil Franklin.

• Spalding Sunday League results: Gosberton 1 Fenway 2; Punchbowl 2 Holbeach Utd Sun 1; Spalding Wanderers 4 Jubilee 3; Sutton Bridge 7 Lutton 2; Sutton SJ 3 Murrow Bell 3.
