Holbeach Youth Club is celebrating its 70th anniversary with a special relaunch.
A variety of attractions have been planned for Saturday, September 19, including the chance to have a tour of the building, sports events, stalls, games, a bar and cold buffet.
Tracey Carter, Kay Piccaver, Sally Horne and Nick Worth form the team of trustees who now look after the youth club.
They are hoping to promote the building at the re-launch.
The venue offers a large room which used to be used for school assemblies many years ago (to be renamed The Christine Carter room in memory of Christine who was one of
the original trustees and founder members).
It also offers a three badminton court sized sports hall and office facilities, which can be used by individuals or companies who may like to run surgeries such as a drop in weekly advice service or employment links.
Within the building, there is also a small kitchen area, WIFI, toilets and also ample off road parking for multiple vehicles.
Holbeach Youth Club meets on Fridays. It has been a long standing feature at the premises, but this year organisers made the decision to close during the summer holiday to officially relaunch the club in early September.
Trustees came to this decision because they felt the club needed to offer more activities to ensure the young people are kept entertained and to ensure the young people remained safely in the building under constant supervision. Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer to help them achieve this would be welcome.
Entry to the relaunch day from 10am to 4pm is free of charge with the complimentary buffet too. You can confirm your attendance by calling 07719189528 or emailing tcarter@sholland.gov.uk
