YOUTH Offending Service (YOS) in Lincolnshire has been found to be one of the country’s top performers in an independent inspection.
The inspection focused on the work of YOS with children and young people who had already committed an offence and found it to be performing well above average in all areas of its work, including ensuring youngsters are not at risk of further harm, do not pose a risk to others and are less likely to reoffend.
Coun Sue Woolley, Lincolnshire’s executive councillor with responsibility for the YOS, said: “It is a reflection of the hard work, committment and professionalism of the staff during a period of change.”
