A MOTORIST accused of causing the deaths of two elderly sisters in a collision on the A52 at Donington has been remanded in custody.

Robin Settle (55), of Cherry Walk, Boston, faces two charges of causing death by dangerous driving on October 27 last year.

Pamela Moore (82), of Grosvenor Mews, Billingborough, and her sister Eileen Williams (83), of Stafford, both died following the collision on the A52 Bridge End Causeway.

Settle, who appeared in the dock at Lincoln Crown Court on crutches, did not enter pleas at Thursday’s hearing.

He was remanded on bail to appear back in court on August 15.
