A TEENAGER was airlifted to hospital after a car accident in Whaplode on Saturday evening.
The 17-year-old suffered a broken arm in the accident which happened in Millgate at about 5.40pm.
The boy, from Wisbech, was driving a grey Volvo which was involved in a crash with a black Corsa being driven by a 37-year-old Whaplode man.
The Corsa driver and his five-year-old female passenger escaped without injury.
The road was closed while fire crews from Holbeach and Spalding used cutting equipment to free the teenager from his car.
Firefighters then helped paramedics look after the boy before he was flown to Boston’s Pilgrim Hospital by the Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire Air Ambulance.
The road was reopened at around 9pm.
